The Intergenerational Forum was established in January 2010, with the aim of addressing anti-social behaviour and perceived fear of crime, amongst our older and younger population.
We had nine older people working with nine younger people on a weekly basis, and successfully made a DVD and accompanying workbook, which is a valuable resource for schools and various community groups. The highlight of this project was being asked to the showcase event at the University of Ulster in York Street for the European Day of Solidarity between the Generations. |

The Anti-Spiking Alliance was made up of volunteers, who had previously been involved in the peer education programme.
This group of young people wanted to do something to promote safe drinking amongst their peers over the Christmas period of December 2009.
The group successfully made a DVD, posters, leaflets and beer mats, and with further funding from PSNI were able to distribute these as well as spika-stoppers and straws to the majority of licensed premises in the Dungannon District Council area. |
